Some of you may have seen May Morris: Crafting a Legacy at the Lady Lever Art Gallery. The Whitworth’s exhibition explores the legacy of May’s father William Morris, artist, poet, textile designer, whose ‘art for all’ philosophy lay rooted in his socialist ideals. More than a hundred exhibits highlight Morris’s pioneering efforts in sustainable making and social reform.

By train the Whitworth Art Gallery is a 25 min walk from Oxford Road Station. Trains from Lime Street Station at 8.51 and 9.19 arriving at Oxford Road at 9.37 and 10.07 (NB: check exact times nearer the date).

The Cafe is situated in an elegant glass and stainless steel extension designed by MUMA overlooking the Gallery’s gardens.
